The Association Between Plexus and World Hunger
Hunger is not just present in third-world countries but first-world countries as well. For some people, the issue of hunger is still challenging to grasp. Day by day, families and children are not certain when or where they will be getting their next meal. As the president of Plexus, Christopher Pair is well aware of the existence of world hunger. This is because he has been through hunger as a child, and that is why he is the man he is today.
Growing up as a grandson of a Mexican immigrant and the son of a sharecropper, Christopher Pair has been through poverty and has escaped it once his father joined the army. He then left the service and provided for his family as a gardener. In the family, the supply of food was not enough to feed them right. The nutritional value of their food was also not an assurance. To have the right amount of money to pay for food, young Christopher and his family had to make money through recycling. They traded soda cans for money so they can buy meals.
To get a better life for himself and for his family based on those years of not being sure when they will eat their next meals, Christopher sought education and career opportunities. Adding emphasis to prosperity and good health, Christopher Pair came to the direct selling industry prepared to change lives for the better. As a direct selling company that promotes people live healthier lives, Plexus Worldwide has sought the help of Christopher Pair to be their President of Operations and International.
For a long time, Christopher Pair has been in the industry to help other people make the most of their lives. He joined Plexus because of their goal to help other people overcome health challenges. Because of their focus on nutrition and health, Plexus and Christopher Pair are finding ways to provide an end to world hunger.
In June 2018, Plexus partnered with Feeding America to feed people who are suffering from hunger. The partnership intends to make a positive and long-term impact on world hunger. Plexus came up with their Nourish One initiative where if you purchase their Plexus Lean product, you will be giving monetary donation equal to 14 meals to Feeding America. For the five months alone, an equivalent of 4 million meal donations have been met.
Mary’s Meals, another partner of Plexus with their Nourish One Initiative, is being tapped into with the goal of feeding more than 10 million meals to the hungry as set by Christopher Pair. Mary’s Meals is a worldwide child hunger charity that aims to feed 1.3 million children every day. The same idea applies where a purchase of Plexus Lean is equivalent to a monetary donation to the charity. Mary’s Meals has even received a $25,000 donation on January 12 from Plexus.
Mary’s Meals partners with community volunteers to create school feeding programs to 17 of the world’s most impoverished countries. Instead of begging to get a meal, children are motivated to go to school for them to get a meal.
