Table manners include knowing where to place your napkin, placing it on your lap while enjoying your meal, leaving the napkin on your chair if you need to go to the washroom, and on the left side of your plate on the table if you are finished. Once you have commenced a meal, never leave any part of the fork or knife resting outside the plate. Always start using cutlery the ones farthest from the plate and work your way towards your plate as your meal progresses, placing your cutlery in an inverted-V position when you’re resting, and placing them at 10:20 position on your plate once you have commenced a meal.
